This is a conceptual editorial from a digital Complex interview between Eric Skelton and American singer songwriter, Teezo Touchdown. Known for his unique approach of mixing established alternative/R&B elements into mainstream hip-hop, Teezo Touchdown is a breakout artist who is weaving his way into the music and fashion industry. His habit of note taking on StickyNotes has become Teezo's trademark, which heavily inspired the design choices used for this editorial.
Starting with the collage, I took the original header photo and collected scans of Teezo’s sticky notes from previous interviews and Instagram posts. I also collected imagery relating to both the theme of the interview, as well another key to Teezo’s brand: nails. Known for his intricate hairstyles that incorporate real hardware into twists, braids, and everything between, I had to include an important part of it.
